Our Veterinarians
Dr Philip McConachy BVSc – Principal Veterinarian
‘Hi, my name is Dr. Philip McConachy. I have owned Pound Road Veterinary Clinic for over 22 years now. I graduated from Melbourne University in 1988. After graduating, I worked for 8 years in the western suburbs of Melbourne in small animal practices. I consider it a privilege to be able to help pets and people at the same time.
I have always enjoyed the many challenges and the ever-evolving nature of Veterinary Science. I have completed post-graduate courses in bone plating, external fixation and ultrasonography. I have a 19-year-old cat named Puffin, a British Blue, who is now in his golden years. In my spare time, I enjoy playing golf and gardening.’
Dr Jack Wong BVSc – Veterinarian
‘Hi, I am Jack from Hong Kong. I graduated from University of Melbourne in 2010, and worked in Childers, Queensland, for 18 months and Bendigo for four years before settling in at Pound Road Veterinary Clinic in 2016, and have been thoroughly enjoying it since.
I have a keen interest in all areas of animal medicine. Outside work, I enjoy spending time with my son, Louis, and whatever time left on reading and video gaming.’
